Montenegro became 179th member state of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in November 2006, on the Summit organized on the occasion of celebration of forty years of UNIDO. In cooperation with United Nations Industrial Development Organization, Ministry for economic development organized international Conference on renewable sources of energy in Kolašin, from 11-12 July, 2008. The aim of the Conference was to exchange opinions on Montenegro’s energy sources, activities in the European integration process and to discuss concrete projects and programs related to investment in the energy sector of Montenegro.
