Minister of Foreign Affairs Milan Roćen received today the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia, Jernej Videtič, from whom he received the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia, Samuel Žbogar to attend the Bled Strategic Forum which will take place on August 29 and 30, 2010.

Minister Roćen congratulated Slovenia on the accession to the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) and expressed assurance that this will additionally contribute to the strengthening of this regional initiative and cooperation among the Member-States. In the context of the regional organisations and the priorities of the Montenegrin presidency he underlined the importance of identifying new modes of cooperation in order to perfect efficiency and results of the regional mechanisms. Also, he thanked Slovenia for its support to Montenegro in the process of accession in the membership of the Commission for the Protection of the Adriatic.

They agreed that bilateral cooperation is developing progressively and that the forthcoming visit of the Prime Minister Milo Đukanović to Slovenia will further enhance excellent political and economic relations between Montenegro and Slovenia.

The collocutors exchanged opinions on the progress of Montenegro on its way to the European and Euro-Atlantic integrations.
