Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro Milan Roćen met today with Andrew Baker, Director of International Jewish Affairs in American Jewish Committee, and a personal representative of the OSCE Chair-in-Office with the exclusive mandate of combating anti-Semitism.
Roćen and Baker expressed satisfaction with constructive contacts and cooperation, which were additionally propped by dynamic bilateral cooperation that Montenegro had with the USA and Israel. Baker said Montenegro’s positive experience could significantly contribute to the promotion of multiethnic and multi-religious tolerance and understanding, as a precondition for strengthening peace and stability in the region and beyond.
Minister Roćen pointed out readiness for developing and strengthening mutual cooperation, which could contribute to the promotion of principles to which Montenegro attached great importance, indicative of which were its efforts for securing internal multiethnic and multi-religious harmony, and promoting these values though regional and multilateral initiatives and organizations, primarily through the OSCE.
Minister Roćen informed Baker about activities of the Government and its plans for achieving strategic European and Euro-Atlantic goals.
Roćen and Baker also exchanged views on current developments in the region. |
