Milan Roćen, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro met today with the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria, Martin Pammer. Ambassador Pammer said he was very glad that he was appointed Austrian Ambassador to Montenegro, and pointed out that Austria has strong interest for strengthening partnership with Montenegro and further intensifying the existing comprehensive, wide-ranging cooperation, primarily in the areas of economy, culture, education and science. He underlined that Montenegro achieved significant results with regard to its European and Euro-Atlantic agenda, and said he was impressed by efficiency and seriousness that the Montenegrin administration demonstrated in dealing with these demanding tasks. Ambassador Pammer also said Montenegro, as a multiethnic, multicultural and multireligious society, embodied core European values, upon which the EU was founded. Minister Roćen thanked for the unswerving support that the Austrian Government continuously provided to European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations of Montenegro and other countries of the Western Balkans, and underlined the important role Austria played in the process of visa liberalization for the countries of the region. Minister Roćen and Ambassador Pammer jointly stated that the positive outcome of the visa liberalization process would bring the Western Balkan closer to Europe and contribute to the promotion of shared cultural and historic ties among their peoples.
