Milan Roćen, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro met today with Ambassador Leopold Maurer, Head of the Delegation of the European Commission in Podgorica.

Minister Roćen and Maurer exchanged views on current issues in the process of Montenegrin progress towards the EU. Underlining the results that Montenegro achieved so far in this process, Maurer conveyed readiness of the European Commission to assist Montenegrin institutions in their efforts to provide good answers to the EC’s Questionnaire, and accomplish remaining tasks with regard to the visa liberalization Road Map.

Minister Roćen thanked Maurer for excellent cooperation and reiterated the Government’s commitment to fulfilling its obligations from the European agenda.

Roćen and Maurer agreed that the forthcoming visit of the Commissioner Jacques Barrot would be another opportunity for evaluating Montenegro’s achievements in the European integration process.

They also exchanged views on current developments in the region.
