Minister of Foreign Affairs Milan Roćen met today with Giorgi Baramidze, Deputy Prime Minister and State Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integrations of Georgia.

Baramidze conveyed greetings of the Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs Grigol Vashadze, as well as the invitation to minister Roćen to visit Georgia, and informed about Tbilisi’s intention to appoint a nonresident Ambassador to Montenegro.

Roćen and Baramidze expressed satisfaction with traditionally friendly Montenegrin-Georgian relations, and stressed their readiness to further build upon these ties by working jointly on improving and revitalizing overall bilateral cooperation, in mutual interest, and in line with the two countries’ common European and Euro-Atlantic goals. They especially pointed out the need for intensifying cooperation in the field of economy and tourism, and discussed the possibility of organizing study visits for media representatives.

Minister Roćen informed Baramidze about political and economic developments in Montenegro, as well as about chief foreign-policy priorities.

Minister Roćen and Baramidze exchanged views on regional and broader international issues.
