Minister of Foreign Affairs Milan Roćen met today with the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba Julio Cesar Cancio Ferera.

Minister Rocen thanked Ambassador Ferera for his personal contribution to the revitalization of traditionally friendly Montenegrin-Cuban relations. They expressed satisfaction with the overall bilateral cooperation and pointed out that both sides shared mutual interest for more intensive cooperation in the field of economy, trade, maritime transport, tourism and culture. In that context, they underlined the importance of conclusion of several bilateral agreements to be signed at the occasion of Minister Rocen’s visit to Cuba, which would created an adequate legal framework for further enhancement of Montenegrin-Cuban relations.

Special attention was given to cooperation in a multilateral forum, which, as it had been noted, also contributed to promotion of mutual interests and straightening of cooperation between Montenegro and Cuba.
