The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Multilateral Affairs, Ambassador Milorad Šćepanović met today the Director General of the Directorate for West and Central Europe in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India, Mr Rajesh Nandan Prasad, who was accompanied by the Ambassador of India in Montenegro Mr Ajay Swarup. The discourse was concerning present cooperation of the two countries on multilateral level and in that context special consideration was given to the subject of the reform of the UN system, including reform of the Security Council, functioning of the Council for Human Rights, and other UN bodies, as well as the intention of India for adoption of the Universal Convention for combating international terrorism. The interlocutors agreed that the two countries share similar approaches and positions in concrete matters which significantly contribute to the intensification of political dialogue, improvement of mutual relations and strengthening of further cooperation. Scepanovic and Prasad exchanged their views regarding outstanding issues in the international relations and recent Non Aligned Summit in Egypt, with special accent put on the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the Movement in Belgrade.
