Communique: Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro Milan Roćen met today with the delegation of the National Committee of the Chinese People Political Consultative Conference

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro Milan Roćen met today with the delegation of the National Committee of the Chinese People Political Consultative Conference, headed by its vice president Zhang Mejing.

Mejing said that China supported progressive route taken by Montenegrin people, as well as the commitment of the Montenegrin Government to efficiently carry out reforms, strengthen economy and improve living standard of its citizens. She pointed out commendable results that Montenegro achieved since restoring its statehood, and said European future of Montenegro would create new possibilities for intensifying bilateral cooperation of the two countries.

Minister Roćen and Mejing jointly stated that contacts between the two states strongly contributed to their cooperation in economy, energy, tourism, culture, education and all other areas, as well as that this visit would play significant role in promoting investment potentials of Montenegro among Chinese businessmen.

Minister Rocen said this visit reaffirmed traditional Montenegrin-Chinese friendship. He reiterated Montenegrin support for the one-China politics, and informed the delegation about internal political and economic developments, about the Government's plans for implementing major infrastructure projects, and the country's progress in European and Euro-Atlantic integration processes.
