Communique: Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro Milan Roćen received special delegate of the Parliamentary Assembly of OSCE for South-Eastern Europe Robert Battelli

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro Milan Roćen received special delegate of the Parliamentary Assembly of OSCE for South-Eastern Europe Robert Battelli, also a Head of the Mission of the PA OSCE.

Battelli expressed content with long constructive cooperation of OSCE and Government of Montenegro, as well as with civic sector in Montenegro. He said that, after restoring independence, Montenegro has obtained good results in the field of enforcing internal reforms, especially regarding strengthening democratic institutions. Both parties expressed their assurance that following parliamentary elections will be held in fair and free atmosphere and that they will contribute to strengthening democratic principles in Montenegrin society, promoting positive image of Montenegro in the region and wider international community.

Minister thanked for continuous contribution of OSCE regarding uplifting all necessary presumptions for organizing transparent and democratic elections in Montenegro as well as for their overall support for democratic processes, especially in the context of strengthening institutions, judicial sector reforms and building civic society.

Minister Roćen informed his interlocutor of Government’s activities in the process of European and Euro-Atlantic integration and of plans for realisation of the capital infrastructural projects.

Meeting was also attended by Andreas Nothelle, Ambassador of the PA OEBS delegation and Klas Bergnam, PA OEBS Director for Communication.
