Minister of Foreign Affairs Milan Roćen received the Ambassador of Ukraine Oksana Sljusarenko.

The central topic of the conversation was the question of the accession of Montenegro to the World Trade Organisation (WTO) in the wake of the Sixth Round of bilateral negotiations between Montenegro and Ukraine, which will be held on the 29th and 30th of July in Geneva. Mutual expectations for a step forward in the finalisation of the negotiations was expressed, which would create conditions for the accession of Montenegro to the WTO.

 The collocutors also exchanged opinions on the modalities of improvement of the overall cooperation, especially in the areas of tourism, economy, transport, and culture. It was assessed that the forthcoming entry into force of the Agreement on the Non-Visa Regime between the two countries will be a new incentive in that direction.

Minister Roćen reiterated his invitation to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Konstantin Grischenko to officially visit Montenegro.
