Ambassador of Montenegro Dr Ivan Leković presented his letters of credence to the President of the Republic of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski at the reception in the Belvedere Palace on 30 May 2011.

Leković thanked the President for the assistance Poland provides to Montenegro in its European and Euro-Atlantic integration and voiced the interest of Montenegro to deepen its bilateral cooperation with Poland.

Komorowski congratulated Ambassador Leković on being appointed the first resident Ambassador of Montenegro to Poland and wished him success in performing his duties. He underlined that Poland is a great friend to Montenegro, especially when it comes to the integration processes and added that the Polish EU presidency will give full backing to Montenegro for receiving a date for the opening of EU accession negotiations.
