Minister of Foreign Affairs Milan Roćen will after attending the meeting of the Central European Initiative use the opportunity to meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Italian Republic, Franco Frattini, on Tuesday, June 15.
The meeting will start at 1:10 pm at Hotel "Splendid," in the Hall for bilateral meetings, III floor. The beginning of the conversation can be recorded. Public announcements will be made after the meeting. |
 The Stabilisation and Association Council (SA Council) between the European Union and Montenegro held its first meeting on 14 June 2010. The meeting was chaired by the Spanish State Secretary for the European Union, Mr. Diego Lopez Garrido, on behalf of the High Representative Catherine Ashton. Montenegro was represented by Mr Milan Roćen, Minister of Foreign Affairs. The meeting was also attended by Mr Stefan Fuele, Commissioner for Enlargement.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Milan Roćen will attend the opening of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Podgorica. The ceremony will take place on June 15, 2010 at 9 am.
The Embassy will be opened by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Miroslav Lajčák.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Milan Roćen will depart tomorrow to Luxembourg, where he will preside over the constitutive meeting of the Stabilisation and Association Council between Montenegro and the EU, together with the Secretary of State for the European Union of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain, Diego López Garrido. European Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighbourhood Policy, Štefan Füle will attend the meeting.

 (Podgorica, June 9th and 10th, 2010) The delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defence of Montenegro, led by the Political Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vesko Garčević, held bilateral consultations in the field of European and Euro-Atlantic integrations with the Delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Slovenia. The Slovenian delegation was led by the Political Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia, Matej Marn. During the meeting the attendants were considering cooperation regarding European and Euro-Atlantic integrations, bilateral issues, current events in the region as well as the matters concerning regional and global security. |

 Minister of Foreign Affairs Milan Roćen received today the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Romania, Eldar Hasanov who handed him an invitation letter on behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Elmar Mammadyaro, to pay a visit to Baku in the nearest future. They agreed that the establishment of political contacts on the highest level will contribute to the strengthening of dialogue and bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

In a short conversation Ambassador Šćepanović expressed content with his appointment as the Permanent Representative of Montenegro to the United Nations and said that this organisation is, along with EU and NATO, one of the most important foreign policy priorities of Montenegro. He also said that the UN, as the place of birth of the modern multilateralism, represents a convenient environment for the small countries as Montenegro to achieve various vital interests.

Minister Roćen expressed gratitude for the contribution of the Ambassador Nikolovski to the development and strengthening of relations between the two close and friendly countries which share common history but also common future.
