The third meeting of the Political Directors of the Member-States of the the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) was held in Ankara, on May 5, 2010. The delegation of Montenegro was headed by Ambassador Nebojša Kaluđerović.
The attendants exchanged opinions on the current situation in the region. They discussed the results of numerous meetings under the SEECP on the ministerial and other levels, as well as future activities.
Special attention was drawn to the arrangement of the Summit of the Heads of States of SEECP, that will be held in June this year, when Montenegro will assume the presidency over this important regional process for the period of one year.
Ambassador Kaluđerović informed the attendants of the results Montenegro has achieved on its European and Euro-Atlantic track regarding visa liberalisation, Answers to the Questionnaire of the European Commission, MAP and SAA. He also stated that Montenegro is ready for the one-year presidency over SEECP and he informed the attendants of the priorities of the presidency and the framework agenda.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro Milan Roćen will receive today the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malta Joseph Psaila Savon.
The meeting will take place in the Cabinet of the Minister at 3:30 pm.

Permanent Representative of Montenegro to the United Nations, Milorad Šćepanović, attended the celebration of the 65th Anniversary of the end of the Second World War on May 6, 2010.
Honouring the victims of the Second World War who gave their lives to build the more secure and free world, attendants underlined the importance of respecting the principles of the Charter of the United Nations, meant to constitute a foundation for further activities leading to the world peace, conciliation, international and regional cooperation and development of democratic values and human rights.

The expert round table for drafting the first Annual National Programme (ANP) for the Membership Action Plan (MAP), organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Hungary in Podgorica and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro, was held today in Podgorica.
The meeting was opened by Tibor Császár, Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary in Montenegro, and Draško Jovanović, the Assistant for Defence Policy to the Minister of Defence of Montenegro. They expressed content with the intensive cooperation and friendly relations of the two countries and underlined the importance of the practical activities that Montenegro needs to undertake regarding joining the NATO.

The Embassy of the Republic of Hungary in Podgorica and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro are organising an expert round table for drafting the first Annual National Programme (ANP) for the Membership Action Plan (MAP). The meeting will take place on Wednesday, May 5 in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The round table is intended for the Commission for Inter-Departmental Activities in the Partnership for Peace of Montenegro and other Montenegrin institutions that are directly involved in the drafting process of the first Annual National Programme (ANP).
