The representatives of line directorates general of the European Commission provided the analytical overview of the EU acquis for Chapter 6 by presenting the key documents in this area. They presented directives, decrees, recommendations, agreements, and communications that treat the principles and standards in this area.

During his stay in New York, Minister for Foreign Affairs and European Integration Nebojša Kaluđerović, had separate meetings with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Israel Avigdor Liberman, foreign ministers of Canada John Beard, and Djibouti Mahmud Ali Yusuf, as well as executive director of UN Office for Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Yuri Fedotov and regional director of UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS) for Europe and Middle East Fatih Serur.
Minister Kaluđerović and his Israeli counterpart deputy prime minister Avigdor Liberman welcomed the development of bilateral relations at all levels. It was concluded that the cooperation could further improve, especially in the area of trade. In that regard, the ministers agreed that the second business forum for Montenegro's and Israel's entrepreneurs will give a strong incentive to a higher presence of Israeli investment in Montenegro. The two sides also exchanged opinions on the regional processes in the Balkans and the current situation in the Middle East.

The newly appointed Ambassador of Montenegro to the Russian Federation Mr Zoran Jocović handed his credentials to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
In his address at the accreditation ceremony for 21 ambassadors in the Alexander Castle in the Kremlin, President Putin noted that the peoples of Montenegro and Russia share a long-standing friendship and noted that the bilateral relations between the two countries are undergoing a dynamic development, especially in the area of investment and tourism.

Minister for Foreign Affairs and European Integration Nebojša Kaluđerović had separate meetings today in New York with foreign ministers of Ireland Eamon Gilmore, Armenia Eduard Nalbandian, Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah, deputy US State Secretary Phillip Reeker, and UNGA Chairman Vuk Jeremić.
Mr Kaluđerović and Mr Gilmore spoke about bilateral cooperation, European and Euro-Atlantic integration activities, and multilateral cooperation. Minister Gilmore welcomed Montenegro's integration results and assessed positively the overall relations both bilateral and within international organisations, primarily OSCE, chaired this year by Ireland. He stressed that Ireland will continue supporting the enlargement policy, especially during their EU presidency in the first half of the following year. In that respect, Minister Gilmore underlined the readiness to open two additional chapters during the Irish presidency. Minister Kaluđerović thanked his Irish counterpart for welcoming a young Montenegrin diplomat in the Irish EU presidency team.

The explanatory analytical overview of the EU acquis communautaire and legal harmonisation for Chapter 26 – Education and Culture ended today.
The representatives of line directorates general of the European Commission presented to the Montenegrin delegation the key documents of the EU acquis in this area. They presented the key EU documents relating to education and training, youth and sport, culture, access to education and development programmes. They presented the benefits of programmes Montenegro is expected to join in the coming period: Lifelong Learning Programme, Erasmus for All, Creative Europe, and others. They also underlined the importance of open coordination methods.
