Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Milan Roćen will depart tomorrow to Belgrade where he will attend a Ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement on 5 and 6 September on the occasion of commemorating half a century of its establishment, on the invitation of the Chairman of the Movement, Foreign Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt Nabil al-Arabi.

During his stay in Belgrade, Roćen will have a number of bilateral meetings with the attendants.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Milan Roćen attended an informal meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the European Union and the candidate countries in Sopot, at the invitation of High Representative of the EU Catherine Ashton. European Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighbourhood Policy Štefan Füle also attended the meeting.

The meeting will take place in Villa "Gorica" at 10:00.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Milan Roćen will host tomorrow, 2 September 2011, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Laurent Stokvis.

The meeting will take place at the Cabinet of the Minister at 11.00.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Milan Roćen hosted today US Ambassador Sue K. Brown regarding the letter State Secretary Hillary Clinton sent to Minister Roćen and the invitation for Montenegro to join the Open Government Partnership (OGP) initiative, which will be promoted at the upcoming UN General Assembly Session.

The meeting will take place at the Cabinet of the Minister at 14:00.

Montenegro, as an EU membership candidate, joined today the Statement of the EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy Baroness Catherine Ashton on the EU Action Following the Escalation of Violent Repression in Syria. The statement, among other things, "condemns in the strongest terms the brutal campaign Bashar al-Assad and his regime are waging against their own people." In the Statement "the EU notes the complete loss of Bashar al-Assad's legitimacy in the eyes of the Syrian people and the necessity for him to step aside."
