The Government of the United Arab Emirates and the Red Crescent Society of this country will send humanitarian assistance to Montenegro via a special airplane.
The Board of Directors of the Red Crescent Society of the UAE Ahmed Humaid Al Mazroui informed Ambassador Erakovic of this decision.
A team of 6 members of the Red Crescent Society of the UAE will also arrive to Montenegro to help in distribution of the humanitarian aid.
The special airplane from Dubai will tomorrow bring 60 tons of food, big tents, wool coversheets, sleeping bags, boots, gloves, etc. |

The Office of the Chief Negotiator invites representatives of non-governmental sector, interested in taking part in working groups for preparation of negotiations on accession of Montenegro to the European Union, to apply and fill in the Form for proposing representatives of non-governmental organisations for participation in working groups and sub-groups for preparation of negotiations.
Having in mind the need for urgent establishment of working groups for preparation of negotiations on chapters 23 (Judiciary and fundamental rights) and 24 (Justice, freedom and security), deadline for application of interested NGO representatives for the two mentioned chapters is 27 February 2012.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Milan Rocen attended today in Vienna the third Ministerial conference of the Paris Pact Initiative for fight against opiates trafficking from Afghanistan under the auspices of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.
At the Ministerial conference, opened by Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon, and Foreign Ministers of Austria Michael Spindelegger, Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov, and France Alain Juppé, the attendants reiterated devotion of the international community to the fight against illegal opiates trafficking and the strengthening of regional and bilateral cooperation between partners under the framework of the Paris Pact Initiative. They also reiterated commitment to continuation and further enhancement of the dialogue among the Pact Initiative partners because, as put by the French Foreign Minister 'every country is a victim and a part of the solution'. They reminded that the Paris Pact, which gathers together more than 50 countries and international organisations, represents a unique forum and a mechanism for political cooperation on this globally important issue, especially with regards to the transition process in Afghanistan.

Dublin, Ireland, 16 February 2012 – Ambassador of Montenegro to the United Kingdom, Professor Dr Ljubisa Stankovic, handed his credentials to the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins in the Presidential palace in Dublin.
At this occasion Ambassador Stankovic underlined that this is the first time that Montenegro appointed an Ambassador to Ireland in the capacity of a sovereign and internationally recognised state, and noted that he was thrilled to have the honour to be the first Montenegrin Ambassador in this country. He underlined that he was positive that this act would contribute to further strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries.
