Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Milan Rocen met today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of France Alan Juppé, with whom he discussed in a very constructive atmosphere the processes of European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Montenegro and the bilateral relations between the two countries. Mr Juppé welcomed Montenegro's commitment to its strategic goals and said that France supports Montenegro's EU accession, and he underlined in the context of the positive Commission recommendation, that his country will give full support to the opening of accession negotiations if Montenegro continues pursuing the ongoing reforms in relation to the results achieved in meeting the seven key priorities.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Milan Rocen met yesterday with the Secretary General of the Organisasion Internationel Francophonie (OIF) Abud Diuf. Mr Diuf said he was glad Montenegro was last year admitted to the OIF as an observer and he commended efforts Montenegro is putting into the promotion of French and its readiness to enhance cooperation. Both sides underlined the importance of the memorandum on implementation of the multiannual programme for learning French in the Montenegrin public administration, as Montenegro moves closer to the EU. We are content that Montenegro is part of the large francophone family, said Mr Roćen and underlined Montenegro's commitment to the promotion of French language and culture.
