Employment procedure

An individual may be employed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs based on internal announcement (transfer of civil servant or state employee from another State Authority), public announcement (for civil servants and state employee) and public vacancy notice (for managing persons) in accordance with the Law on civil servants and state employees. Ministry of Foreign Affairs decides on publishing specific vacancy through public announcement, and the Human Recourses Management Authority carries out the procedure. Once the announcement is published following expiry of deadline for submiting applications, the Human Recourses Management Authority prepares the list of shortlisted candidates who meet the formal and legal requirements and undertakes the mandatory assessment of skills required for the specific post. Thereafter the Human Resources Management Authority submits the list to the Ministry, carries on further examinations in coordination with the Ministry and presents the final list to the Minister.

Should the announcement regard specific vacancy post within the Ministry, the Committee (consisting of managing persons) interviews the candidates who achieved satisfactory result in the assessment process carried out by Human Resources Management Authority based on which report is made and submitted to the Minister for final decision on employment.

The Minister issues the formal decision on employment.
