I would like to greet you on behalf of Montenegro, the youngest OSCE participating state and to express pleasure for taking part in the informal Ministerial meeting. We particularly value the opportunity for the voice of small countries as Montenegro to be heard in dialogue on strengthening security and trust in Euro Atlantic area. I would like to thank Greece for organizing this event successfully and for its efforts to define a comprehensive basis for today’s talks..."

High Commissioner Madam Arbur,
Exellencies,
Ladies and Gentlemen,

I would like to greet the Secretary-General and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and express our appreciation for their excellent work.

It is an honour to address the High Level Segment of the 7th Session of the Human Rights Council on which Montenegro particpates for the first time. I would like to reiterate our full support to the Council in promoting universal respect for the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms. We are strongly committted to strive for the universality and indivisibility of human rights, civil and political, economic, social and cultural rights, including the right to development.

Excellencies,
Ladies and Gentlemen,


It is a great honor to be invited to address the OSCE Permanent Council. In Montenegro's modern history, it will be forever noted that this was the first international organization we were admitted to as an independent state. I would like to thank to the Chairman for giving me the possibility to present a short retrospective of our achievements in the period after we restored independence and became the OSCE member. I will give an overview of the current situation in Montenegro as well as of our position towards the OSCE and its significant role in Montenegro.
