Entry of Montenegro into NATO and development of relations with the Alliance, through the programme Partnership for Peace and mechanisms within it, in the forthcoming period, is a guarantee of stability and safety necessary to fulfil other strategic objectives of Montenegro, such as EU accession. By integration into NATO Montenegro ensures the safety framework for defence from potential crises, and at the same time, promotes its democratic and economic development.
