Areas of cooperation and Focal Points

Cooperation within CEI takes place in nine areas: climate, environment and sustainable energy; enterprise development including tourism, human resource development; information society and media; intercultural cooperation including minorities; multimodal transport; science and technology, sustainable agriculture and Inter-cultural cooperation.

Montenegro established a network of Focal Points in the relevant ministries concerned with the above areas of cooperation. One of the tasks of these contact persons is to advertise the CEI funds in the country and to motivate all interested parties to engage in projects of regional importance and through such cooperation to lay ground for stronger ties, better understanding among the participants, exchange of experiences with the countries of the region and overall development and stability of the CEI region. CEI Representatives and contact persons in the various ministries and other institutions in Montenegro participate in numerous meetings organised by CEI throughout the region.
