The 9th Parliamentary Forum of Cetinje and a meeting of the Parliamentary Dimension of Central-European Initiative, titled “The Role of the Parliament in Fighting Corruption and Organised Crime” was held on 26-27 April 2010. The meeting was opened by the President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Ranko Krivokapić, before representatives of 13 states members of the CEI PD, as well as representatives of important international organisations. The meeting was chaired by the head of the Permanent Delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro to the Parliamentary Dimension of Central-European Initiative, Miodrag Vuković, and began with introductory presentations by the head of GRECO, Drago Kos, Minister of Interior Affairs and Public Administration in the Government of Montenegro, Ivan Brajović, head of the OSCE mission to Montenegro, Paraskiva Badesku and director of the Belgrade office of Friedrich Ebert Foundation, Michael Ehrke. The working part of the meeting involved presentations by the Supreme State Persecutor Ranka Čarapić, Ivo Vajgl, member of the European Parliament, and director of the Directorate for Anti-Corruption Initiative Vesna Ratković. In the afternoon, the meeting continued with presentations by the participants, among who were Vasilije Lalošević, member of the Permanent Delegation to CEI PD, Ervin Spahić, head of the Committee for the Political System, Judiciary and Administration, and Tarzan Milošević, the acting president of the Committee for Security and Defence. The first day of the 9th Parliamentary Forum in Cetinje and of the meeting of the Parliamentary Dimension of Central-European Initiative, titled “The Role of the Parliament in Fighting Corruption and Organised Crime” ended with the adoption of the Concluding Declaration. |
